The black bowl is the base of a dish in which tagine is cooked), couscous, stewed vegetables in a Moroccan restaurant in Paris, accompanied with wine from the same country. I got an impression that Moroccan cuisine is to French what Mex is to Tex. Most French restaurants seem to have some Moroccan dishes on their menu.
